I am required to carry an sr22, is it possible if I keep my current insurance coverage and get an sr22 as well? Is it also true that insurance is cheaper for married couple?

If you already have a car insurance policy, you can not buy a separate policy for an SR-22. You will need to terminate your current insurance policy if your insurance provider does not offer an SR-22 and buy an insurance policy with an insurance carrier that does.
Generally, regular car insurance can be cheaper for married couples. This may not always be the case though if you as an individual had a clean driving record but when you marry your spouse has a driving history with a “bad” driving record. Your rates may be higher due to the motor vehicle record of another person on your policy with you.
